With unrest and riots in America's cities, where can one turn to find peace? The Bible tells us, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." (John 16:3) Therefore, we have hope that no matter what happens in this world, God is in control. While the world may feel chaotic, God is here. You can find stability if you will trust and give yourself over to the one and only God.
Youth can be a wonderful time of life, but not for everyone. Too often people choose to go their own way. Have you lost your way? Are you interested in finding true peace? Keep reading and watching the stories. Every story is different, yet their commonality is discovering Jesus.
Religion is a funny thing. Many people think that if you have religion, then God is on your side. But not all religion is good. Just as there are false ideas, so also are there false religions. The Bible says even the demons believe. So what does it really mean to be a Christian? Some people say, "I believe in God". But they have wrong ideas about God. We must believe in the God who IS, not the God of our imagination. Watch the stories on this site to learn about the God of the Bible, the God who is!

People often look to medications to help deal with personal problems. In contrast, those who surrender to Christ discover a source of peace they did not have before. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)

Salvation is the source of peace that passes all understanding. Missionary Dr. Joseph Cooke wrote a book entited, Free for the Taking. Salvation is a gift; that is what grace means. Our sins have been paid in full by Jesus and His death on the cross. This gift of salvation is only available to those who will take it. Will you take it today--right now?

The following Old Testament passage refers to Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God: “And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6b) Throughout the centuries the Prince of Peace (Jesus, who is God) has provided peace for His people.

Elements of The Good News. First, we must each realize that God is holy and we are sinful. The Bible says "All have sinned..." (Romans 3:23) This is a tremendous problem because it means we are separated from God, whether we feel it or not. Second, we must understand that being good does not help us get closer to God. This is because the cause of our separation is sin, not how good or bad we are. Third, God has provided a way for us to be united with Him, to have a relationship with Him. God sent His Son, Jesus, to die. He paid for our sins! Forth, we must accept Him and His payment.

The Bible tells of a famous king named David. He wrote much of the poetry found in the book of Psalms. For example, he wrote, "You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe.” (Psalm 4:7-8) Likewise, we too can have that kind of peace and safety. It starts with a relationship with the God who made us.
A Penalty You Can't Afford to Pay
Imagine facing court in a foreign country. You're charged with a heinous crime. The penalty is more than you could pay or borrow. You would go to jail, but instead a stranger pays the debt. That is what Jesus did. He paid the debt which we could not pay.
Accepting God's Payment for Our Sins
Call out to Jesus and in your own words admit your sins to Him. Tell Him you are sorry and thank Him for paying for your debt. Tell Him you want to be His child.
After Jesus died and was resurrected, He appeared to various people. Luke 24:13 begins the story of Jesus talking to two men walking to the village of Emmaus. Jesus asked them, "Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things . . .?" What do you think?
